The choreographic piece "A Place" is a project that appoaches migration as a millennia-old human practice that embraces not only physical necessity to change the place of living but also an array of cultural phenomena: from songlines of indigenous people of Australia to the infinity that opens us behind Neolithic Venuses. "A Place" in the interpretation of Valeria Khripatch & Tatiana Antonova's also brings together the personal stories of the dancers offering new ways to see, rethink, and share the realities of millions of today's migrants.
The composition is built on the principle of a triangle. The three parts of the production represent three steps from the world's surface into the anthropological abyss: migrant's inner space, the feeling of a community under stark restrictions, and the global and unsupported world of eternal nomads.
