Servisas
A conceptual work about the hurdles a person faces as a visa applicant
Servisas (animation/embroidery, 2023)
Dizziness caused by the carousel of visa procedures and systematic successive exclusion.

Scene one. I am an employee. But for the visa, you have to determine your qualifications straight away. I throw up high, then low. Diploma and professionalism fall out of my pocket.
Scene two. Merit/worthiness. In a single form for a visa, decompose impeccability, legality, reliability. Deserve the right to enter. Be a good example to those stuck in the waiting room.
Scene three. Invitation. Show up, hide personal belongings, take cards with promises. But not enough: copies of documents, courtesy, unbreakable dependence on their homeland.
Scene four. A love scene. Two applicants. There is an unrecognised status between them. On the outside of the joint rituals there is no marriage. My girlfriend is a shimmering matter that the system does not recognise.
Scene five. Borderline. This attraction brings a cold sweat. The ground is frozen in the crevices of the sole. Moving people on either side becomes suspicious.
Scene six. A never-ending story. A state of constant visa expiry. Numerology says: 90 is the support of destiny, 180 is the chosen path, 365 is the message of love and guidance. The carousel starts up again.
